Universal Design for Learning Reflection

One of the most difficult tasks teachers face every day is meeting the needs of all students in the classroom. The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an educational framework that allows teachers to create a flexible learning environment and make learning accessible to all students. 

The three principles of UDL are representation, action and expression, and engagement. These principles are also referred to as the what, how, and why of learning. The idea is to provide multiple means of representation to help all students with comprehension, multiple means of action and expression to give all learners a chance to express themselves, and use different forms of engagement to help all students achieve self-regulation.
